Warts Removal

Wart RemovalThe Keogh Practice provides both adults and children with wart removal services. Everybody can be affected by warts even children and people with a weak immune system are also a candidate for warts. Warts can be small or larger in some cases, rough growths that occur on the skin, mainly on the hands but can spread to other parts of the body. They are caused by human papilloma virus, they are very contagious and cosmetically embarrassing.

Warts are contagious and can be easily spread to other parts of the body or to other people through contact of the skin. You can be affected through direct contact and through public areas such as changing rooms and most common swimming pools.

  • They are often persistent
  • No single treatment is guaranteed to eliminate
  • They can differ in size

We use a combination of



  • Paring or scraping
  • Cryo therapy- Deep freezing
  • Salcylic acid
  • Occlusion –Duct tape method.

It may take up to 6 cycles of cryotherapy freezing to ensure the more persistent warts are destroyed.
Over the counter freezing sprays achieve a temperature of -55’C, Our liquid nitrogen Achieves temperatures of – 196’C allowing for a deeper more effective freeze and more successful outcome. Thecryotherapy involves liquid nitrogen freezing to form ice crystals to destroy the wart cells.

We are happy to asses and treat warts in all bodily sites, including, more sensitive areas of face, fingers and genitalia.
